Maggie McCoy is a graduate of Smith College with a degree in English and Government. She previously worked with United 4 Social Change, Vote Smart, and the Cure Drug Repurposing Collaboratory, as well as assisting with the development efforts of the Leadership Academy, an education-focused nonprofit. She has also worked as a tutor for both upper-middle-class students and historically underserved students, where she saw the educational opportunity gap first-hand and became passionate about helping to close it. At Aspire, Maggie leads the private fundraising and public communications work. She enjoys seeing and hearing the impact of Aspire on students, families, and the broader community in her storytelling work. From helping Aspire grow as an organization to hearing about the growth of one student, she loves lifting up these stories and working to close the educational opportunity gap in Arlington.
