Afterschool & Expanded Learning in Northern Virginia: Supporting our Local Workforce & Future Workforce

On behalf of Amazon, we are pleased to invite you to Amazon’s headquarters for Afterschool & Expanded Learning in Northern Virginia: Supporting our Local Workforce & Future Workforce, on Wednesday, September 16, from 11:00-1:00. This convening will bring colleagues together from the Northern Virginia business and corporate community to learn more about the opportunities and possibilities that are created by afterschool, summer, and expanded learning programs in our region.

The gathering will feature local leaders from Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County, alongside national and state afterschool leaders. The panelists will share local and state data on the status of afterschool and summer programming in our region, participate in a panel discussion, and answer questions about the potentials and challenges in Northern Virginia. You will have an opportunity to learn why these programs are essential for children, youth, and families in our region, and how they play a critical role in supporting today’s workforce, while preparing the workforce of tomorrow.
